The Consolidated Paper Mills Company was named the winner in the «Successful Marketing Strategy. Expansion of markets in Russia and abroad» category. The jury noted the introduction of the highest quality recycled containerboard on the Russian market — Liner HP and Medium HP, the introduction of new technical specifications, the strategy of promotion in the b2b segment, which is based on the justification of the economic efficiency of using high-tech raw materials for corrugated packaging.
Thanking the organizers of the forum and the award for the prize — it was presented online — the General director of the CPM Company Dmitry Dulkin noted that this year’s success was the result of many years of work to improve the physical and mechanical properties and customer appeal of the products. The new quality allowed the CPM to enter the international market for the first time. According to Dmitry Alexandrovich, the share of exports in the total sales volume and the importance of this direction for the Company will only increase.
Also, the organizers of the award appreciated the high level and variety of design solutions for the products of the Polotnyany Zavod Paper Manufactory. The manufacturer of notebooks and sketchbooks popular on the market fought for the victory in the Variety in the Product Line nomination. And although it was not possible to become a winner this time, the impressed experts who were on the jury proposed to establish a separate category next year to assess the «exterior» of paper products intended for retail consumers.
The prize of the industry magazine LesPromInform was awarded to the Buzeon paper museum, which over the two years of its activity has become not just another point of attraction for tourists on the map of the Kaluga region (on average, the museum is visited by about 100 people a day, mainly families with children and groups of schoolchildren), but also a popularizer of the history of the paper and paper industry, an initiator of social projects.
Note: This year the largest forum of the pulp and paper industry in Eastern Europe PAP-FOR was held in an online format. The exhibition has been postponed to November next year.
The PAP-FOR Awards were presented for the first time. It was awarded to pulp and paper mills, manufacturers, suppliers of equipment and services for their successful contribution to the development of the pulp and paper industry in Russia and the CIS. The Awards was intended to acquaint the professional community with examples of successfully implemented projects in various nominations. The expert council includes renowned professionals in the pulp and paper sector.
